Towards O-Ran enabled 5G-V2X in real-time resource markets

摘要

Long term evolution (LTE) infrastructure already had proven itself as a sophisticated resource provisioning architecture for the earlier networks. With the recent surge in connected devices in 5G networks, we encounter new challenges in the existing environments. They include the latency stringent extremely dynamic access requests, autonomous handling of resources in online markets in order to effectively benefit the consumers and service providers simultaneously. In this paper, we address these problems by formulating a delay stringent environment with auction instances generated by Femto-cell holders (FH) and managed by Macro-cell holders (MH) for a use case of micro-service based on board units (OBU) containerized vehicle to anything (V2X) communication enabled through a reliable 5G cellular network. We performed extensive market analysis under dynamic circumstances and figured out optimal trends for validation. Another contribution of this work includes the proposal of an open radio access network (O-RAN) compliant architecture for a live decision in near real-time RAN intelligent controller (RT RIC). This will help to validate the findings and also extend the use case domain to a large scale.
