N2 - The surface modified (carboxylation or oxidation) nanodiamonds provide the chemical or physical conjugation with the bio-molecules to form the bio- functionalized nanodiamonds. The protein lysozyme absorbed on nanodiamonds can interact with E. coli bacterial cells. The lysozymenanodiamonds complexes were demonstrated to retain their antibacterial activity which allows constructing the indicator system (bio-sensors). [1]
