摘要

A novel optical waveguide phase-delayed two-state switch is presented that consists of a pair of asynchronous waveguides. The performance of the switch is analyzed in detail. The simple structure of the device may lead to an easy implementation in optical switching, optical interconnects, and sensor applications.
