摘要

The proteins expressed by extreme halophilic archaeon Halobacterium species NRC-1 were identified. Soluble and membrane proteins produced by the organism were collected in different fractions according to their solubility, were denatured, reduced, and finally subjected to tryptic digestion. Mass spectra were then acquired by data-dependent ion selection form a full range as well as discrete narrow survey scan m/z ranges to increase the number of identifications. It was found that a total of 442 proteins had one or more peptides with highly distinguishable MS/MS spectra and relative low noise.
