摘要
Carbon monoxide laser emission was observed in the vacuum UV flash-photolysis of various COS mixtures. About 30 vibration-rotation transitions of CO ranging from Δv(13→ 12) to Δv(7 → 6) were identified. Detailed study of the effects of flash energy, inert gases and chemically reactive gases on the intensity of CO stimulated emission led to the conclusion that the emission results directly from the initial photodissociation reaction, {A figure is presented} The reaction of S(1D) with COS: {A figure is presented} seems to have little effect on CO stimulated emission.
