Color filter (CF) is one of the key components for liquid crystal display (LCD). It is costly to make from repeated lithography processes. The defects may be generated during these complex manufacture processes. The recycling defect CF panels are environmental unfriendly and non cost-effective process. As a result, CF repairing is not only an important cost-effective technical process, but also a process contributing to the greener LCD process. In this study, a solvent-less repaired ink system was reported. The balance of viscosity, ink fluidic, crosslinker, and color saturation enabled the defect repair. Furthermore, the energy has been conserved without high temperature curing process. Hence, the solvent-free CF repair inks process offers a promising result for contributing to a greener world.
