摘要

The hydroxyl radical is known to be a key chain carrier in a great number of combustion and propulsion systems. In the high temperature oxidation of hydrocarbons fuels, for example, the reaction of OH with various unsaturated hydrocarbons (C//2H//2, C//2H//4, C//2H//6 etc. ) plays a very important role in the final stages of oxidation, energy release or even soot formation. It has been commonly assumed that the reaction of OH with unsaturated hydrocarbons, for instance, OH plus C//2H//2, takes place at low temperatures mainly by addition and at high temperatures, by direct hydrogen atom abstraction. In this work we have employed the same method to elucidate the mechanisms of OH reactions with unsaturated hydrocarbons which all occur initially by the addition process at low temperatures. Our objective lies in the interpretation as well as the reliable extrapolation of the low temperature kinetic data, which can be more reliably measured, to the region of relevance to combustion and flame chemistry.
