摘要

This research tries to study fluvial process of local scour and its deposition during flash flood. Fengshan creek basin is selected as study site. The site is favored since its varied morphology and extensively covered by bushes. That result from the riverbed reveals not only steep, but the fragile of heterogeneous gravels along the river. To better understand its fluvial scoring process, mobile bed simulations are conducted, and float out field experiment to study its temporal variability of river bed has designed. We established a mobile bed modeling system and calibrate the simulations via experimental data. As we known that Taiwan has frequent suffered from natural hazards during recent years. Extreme typhoon-induced floods have resulted from disasters over the island. Typhoons usually bring heavy rains and flash floods with resulting in severe riverbed scores and carrying huge sedimentations into the river. Excessive fluvial scours may cause bridge broken, embankments collapse, and inundation in low-lying areas … etc. Therefore, how to assess the risk and conduct efficient management for whole disasters from the perspective of river basin is an important issue.
