Miniaturized Optical Power Splitter with Arbitrary Output Modes Using Inverse Design and Active Phase Shifters

摘要

We propose an on-chip optical-power-splitter on silicon-on-insulator (SOI) platform utilizing thermo-optic phase-shifters and inverse-design. The design consists of MMIs, phase-shifters and an inverse-design Y-junction. The results indicate that optical power splitting can be achieved in arbitrary mode states of TE0, TE1, and TE2 modes.
