摘要
In this study, an integrated rheo-kinetic-morphological measurement was carried out for a low shrinkage unsaturated polyester resin. The mechanism of microstructure formation during reaction and its effect on the reaction kinetics and rheological changes are discussed. Experimental results suggest that structure formation occurs in the very beginning of the reaction for low shrinkage unsaturated polyester resins. Although the presence of LPA (Low Profile Additives) greatly affects the microstructure of unsaturated polyesters, its influence on reaction kinetics and rheological changes seems to be very minor.
