N2 - A sensitivity analysis of Lu and Bai's leachate model (1) was performed in terms of the parameters associated with the numerical scheme, the hydraulic properties of the porous medium, the mass transfer process, the microbial transport, and the bottom liner hydraulics. Eight of the parameters were identified to strongly affect the simulations: Saturation moisture content (Tg), dissolution rate constant (kn), original teachable contaminant concentration (Mo), maximum specific growth rate (μm), death rate of cells (Kg), substrate concentration at 1/2 the maximum specific growth rate (Km), saturated hydraulic conductivity of the drainage layer (Kd), and slope angle of the liner (Ø).
