摘要
Laser ablation dynamics of polymer films doped with biphenyl and pyrene was investigated by applying nanosecond spectroscopic, photographic, and interferometric methods. The transient molecular species responsible to ablation was concluded to be excited states which absorb 248 nm photons repetitively during the laser pulse; cyclic multiphotonic absorption. Dynamics of submicron expansion and contraction of polymer films was measured by nanosecond interferometry even below the ablation threshold. New features of laser ablation are clarified.
