摘要

Ionic photodissociation of poly (N-vinylcarbazole) s quenched by N, N-dimethyltoluidine, 1, 4-dicyanobenzeneand dimethyl terephthalate has been studied in N, N-dimethylformamide. Nanosecond laser photolysisshowed that the dissociation yield decreased as the degree of polymerization increased. The results arediscussed in terms of simple electron donor-acceptor systems. The polymer effect on the ionic photodissociationis concluded to be ascribed to a different dissociative state, slow solvation process and a contribution of geminate recombination.
