摘要
It was demonstrated that the inclusion of material dissipation in layered solids has a dramatic influence on the spectrum of the reflection coefficient of acoustic waves especially when the solids are overlaid by fluids. A theoretical technique was developed for the rapid and accurate calculation of the spectrum for general types of layers. The calculations correlated well with data from both immersion and bubbler type leaky Lamb wave experimental arrangements. The model was designed to relate the reflection coefficient amplitudes to the material properties of the solids and to determine those coefficients as functions of incidence angle and frequency. The nature and location of holes in the spectrum are also discussed.
