abstract = "We employ ultrafast optical pump-probe spectroscopy to reveal the energy transfer (ET) mechanism between organic Alq3 molecules and Si. Inserting ultrathin SiO2 layers between Alq3 and Si exposes SiO2-thickness-dependent relaxation dynamics of photoexcited carriers and discloses ET from Alq3 to Si, comparable with a dipole-dipole interaction model.",
