N2 - We demonstrate an optically-pumped mid-infrared InGaAsSb/AlGaAsSb type-I QW surface-emitting laser operated at 2.26 μm using double-lattice photonic crystal structures. Light output intensity of the device with double-lattice structures was enhanced by an order of magnitude than that of single-holes.
