Dynamic attenuated total reflection UV-visible spectroscopy for surface photophysics and photochemistry

摘要

Nanosecond transient absorption spectra of a solid surface were measured for the first time by developing a new method of attenuated total reflection UV-visible spectroscopy. Using a bilayer model system, it was demonstrated that a surface region in the order of submicrometer can be exclusively probed and analyzed. Depth-dependent transient absorption spectra of poly(methyl methacrylate) film doped with 9-ethylphenanthrene were discussed.
