CO2 capture by amine-functionalized mesoporous spherical silica particles

摘要

The CO2 adsorption capacity of mesoporous spherical silica particles, which was synthesized via fast aerosol route and then modified with amine functional groups, was studied. The increase of amine loaded over mesoporous silica particles provided more adsorptive sites to capture CO2 molecules. The MSP possessed uniform and order porous structure and resulted in high surface area property. The CO2 adsorption capacities could be well above 100 mg CO2/g adsorbent at 70°C. Pressure-swing cyclic analysis showed both chemical and physical sorption in the surface of MSP. However, the regeneration ability of around 89-90% was still achieved after 4 cyclic tests of pressure swing adsorption.
