title = "Capillary electrophoresis in virtual microchannel based on dielectrophoresis",
abstract = "Separating neutral and negatively-charged polystyrene particles by capillary electrophoresis in a virtual microchannel formed by dielectrophoresis is demonstrated in this paper. The geometry of virtual microchannel was defined between parallel plates by the electric field generated by electrode patterns without channel walls. Hence the device structure and fabrication are simple with no leakage and clogging issues. Moreover, the wall-less channel would provide more flexibility to capillary electrophoresis throughout the separation process.",
