title = "Anti-biofouling magnet-based digital microfluidic platform with patternable superomniphobic surface for high concentration biological droplet manipulation",
abstract = "Biofouling is a critical issue in microfluidic devices, especially for droplet-based manipulation in digital microfluidic platform. This paper has demonstrated an anti-biofouling magnetic-based digital microfluidic platform, which utilizes doubly re-entrant structures as a patternable superomniphobic surface and magnet to dynamically manipulate droplets. The manipulation of high concentration bio-droplets (1% cassie in PBS) including moving, merging, and dispensing in the air, has been demonstrated with exceptional anti-biofouling performance. We believe this platform can be furthered used for whole blood manipulation for biological applications.",
