摘要
The main purpose of this paper is to investigate the characteristics of 2nd and 3rd order autonomous nonlinear systems by plotting trajectories. For 2nd order systems, a method for finding the exact region of asymptotic stability (RAS) is proposed. For 3rd order systems, a method of plotting trajectories for a preselected set of initial conditions is proposed. By applying the proposed methods, the characteristics of considered nonlinear systems can be more clearly understood than is possible using other methods in the literature.
