摘要

We report a simple and effective method for adjusting the gain of cell manipulation in a microfluidic channel. The gain of the manipulation is defined as the ratio of the displacements between the actuator and a target cell. The gain is found adjustable by controlling the offset pressure in the channel. According to the experimental results, the gain is about proportional to the offset pressure within the range from 100 kPa to 200 kPa. The method can be employed for achieving either high-speed or high-resolution cell manipulation using the same microfluidic chip for different applications.
