摘要

A regeneratively mode-locked (RML) erbium-doped fiber laser (EDL) was designed with a simple circuitry for jitter reduction and pulse-delay-tuning. The important feature of the proposed laser system is that the optical pulse-train generated from the RML-EDFL can be frequency-synchronized to any unknown microwave signals. Due to its superior noise performance RML-EDFL finds its application in high-speed fiber-optic communications, optically time-division-multiplexing communication, and high-speed electro-optical sampling systems.
