摘要

A general high yield synthesis for W₂(O₂CR)₄ compounds is proposed based on eqn (1), wherein a WW triple bond is converted to a quadruple bond, and this has been established for RMe, Et and t-Bu. W₂Et₂(NMe₂)₄ + 4RCOOCOR → W₂(O₂CR)₄ + 4RCONMe₂ + C₂H₄ + C₂H₆ (1).
