In this paper, a cascode low noise amplifier (LNA) with shunt impedance feedback topology for applications in ultra-wideband (UWB) systems is presented. The design was based on the TSMC 0.18μm mixed signal/RF processes. Measurement and simulation results are approximate. Maximum power gain of 10.01 dB with a 3-dB bandwidth ranging from 2 GHz to 10 GHz, input reflection coefficient less than -10 dB as well as output reflection coefficient less than -8 dB were achieved. Power consumption is 22mW. In addition, simulated noise figure is less than 4dB at the frequency band ranging from 2 GHz to 10GHz.
