摘要
Building Information Modeling (BIM) has become increasingly mature and has been widely used in the operation management stage of a building life cycle. However, most of the researchers and applications in the past focused on a single building, which cannot meet the facility management requirements of multiple buildings. This study proposes a maintenance management model for multiple buildings on campus that integrates Geographic Information System (GIS) and BIM, with GIS as the operating platform. The proposed model is composed of four parts, including several BIM models, SQLite database, GIS platform and campus maintenance management API (Application Programming Interface). This model transfers the Revit models into the GIS platform through model conversion and unified-form transmission, so as to achieve the interactive operations and visualization among the overall campus GIS platform and individual BIM models. In this way, not only the relative locations of multiple buildings and the surrounding scenes can be displayed, but also other facilities outside the buildings can be controlled. Moreover, the BIM model information in the GIS platform can be revised and updated by using the developed API to keep the latest information in the BIM models. The test results of the proposed model on a campus in northern Taiwan have showed that the GIS does have the advantages of being a platform for simultaneously managing various BIM models.
