組織簡介
本所承襲原資訊工程研究所與資訊科學研究所的大部分師資，具有堅強的師資陣容，先進的研發設備，廣泛的研究領域，例如，演算法與計算理論、生物資訊、密碼與資訊安全、資料庫與資訊處理、作業系統與即時系統、分散式系統、SOC與嵌入式系統、計算機結構、程式語言、軟體工程、人工智慧等。本所有多位教授獲得國科會傑出研究獎，擔任國際期刊編輯及國際會議議程委員，重要國際學會（IEEE、ACM或IEE等）的Fellows。本所與國內外產學研機構聯繫密切，獲得相當多的研究經費補助。本所的教授參與多項大型研究計畫，例如國科會卓越計畫、後卓越計畫與國家型計畫等，研究成果傑出，對學術與產業有極大的貢獻。本所現正加強組成研究群以發揮整合的力量，增加跨領域合作、加強聘任國際級的學者任教、招收優秀的國際學生、加強國際合作，為將來的資訊領域研究與發展有所貢獻。
