Abstract
A modified method to determine low levels of iodide in water is proposed. The samples were mixed with As(III) and Ce(IV) solution and determined with a spectrophometer. The method is accurate on samples containing from 2–10 μg I/L. The proposed method of iodide determination is more rapid and more sensitive than the method adopted in Standard Methods for the Examination of Water and Wastewater issued by the American Public Health Association.
