Ultrahigh Q TM-polarized photonic crystal nano-fishbone nanocavity

Abstract

A novel photonic crystal nano-fishbone is proposed, which confines ultrahigh Q (∼ 1.6×107) transverse magnetic mode with smaller mode volume, device size, surface area, and higher confinement factor than those in photonic crystal nanobeam.
