Abstract

This paper aims to build a data-knowledge base management system (DKBMS) for personal computers, for widest range of users to handle both data and knowledge information processing effectively. Our approach is to integrate dBASE III (a popular relational database management software) with micro-PROLOG (a logical programming language) within a logic-based DKBMS structure. By utilizing this system, users can merge data built in dBASE III with rule-based knowledge in micro-PROLOG to perform deductive queries conveniently.
