Abstract

The fully resolved vibration-rotational emmision spectra of HCl during photolysis of CH2CHCl was reported using a step-scan Fourier transform spectrometer. The emission from HX was observed with a data acquisition window suitable for spectra with satisfactory ratio of signal to noise ratio. The HX elimination channels investigated for CH2CHF and CH2CHBr were also reported. Results showed that the determined branching ratios for three-center and four center elimination were consistent with predicted rate coefficients for Rice-Ramsberger-Kassel-Marcus (RRKM) unimolecular decomposition.
