Abstract

FT-IR spectra of solutions of carboxylic acids (formic...butyric) and of amines (ammonia...butylamine) have been measured with the Circle(R) ATR method. The changes of the water spectrum under the influence of these solutes are discussed on the basis of "molar cross section spectra" for concentrations from 0.005 to 4 molar.
