Abstract

FT-IR spectra of solutions of carboxylic acids (formic...butyric) and of amines (ammonia...butylamine) have been measured with the Circle^(R) ATR method. The changes of the water spectrum under the influence of these solutes are discussed on the basis of "molar cross section spectra" for concentrations from 0.005 to 4 molar.
