Abstract
Our work aims to provide an approach to designing both software and hardware for message-passing systems. Operational analysis of the behavior of our prototype is presented as an aid in software, and the use of FIFO links for remote object communication is described to support hardware design. Our approach simplifies the configuration of the architecture and adaptation of application programs in the system. With the analytical evaluation stated herein, our prototype can serve as a model for the development of distributed object-based programming environments.
