Abstract
This paper proposes a new sliding-mode torque control for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). This torque control is established by designing two integral sliding surfaces for the torque and the flux. The control ensures the equilibrium asymptotically stable. A practical application of the proposed torque control to speed control of a motor is also presented. Some experiments verify the control theory and demonstrate the proposed torque control algorithm.
