Self-mode locking in diode-pumped Nd:YVO4 self-Raman lasers

Abstract

We experimentally explore the temporal dynamics of diode-pumped Nd:YVO 4 CW self-Raman lasers. In the single-transverse-mode operation, we find that the real-time trace of the self-Raman laser displays the characteristics of self-mode locking.
