Abstract

The quality of service (QoS) burstification (QBT) mechanism for optical burst switched wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) networks was proposed. The design concept and the detailed algorithm of QBT was also presented. It was shown that QBT achieved fairness and mean-burstification-delay guarantees among various traffic classes.
