Abstract

Polymer semiconductors are the only semiconductors which can be processed in solution. Electronic components made by these flexible materials have many advantages such as large-area solution process, low cost, and high performance. The number of researchers and companies dedicating their time and money to polymer electronics is increasing. This book focuses on the fundamental materials and device physics of polymer electronics. In great detail and with exceptional clarity, it described polymer light-emitting diodes, polymer field-effect transistors, organic vertical transistors, polymer solar cells, and many applications based on polymer electronics. Preparation techniques and device properties of polymer electronics are also discussed and analyzed with care.
