Abstract

A hole-injection-layer in PLED with a plasmonic metal nanostructure was demonstrated. Dual-functional Au nanoparticles-incorporated PEDOT:PSS matrix layer revealed a 2.3x increase in fluorescence quantum yields from MEH-PPV, via dipolar surface plasmon resonance. With an additional spacer layer, the nanocompostie layer remarkably enhanced the PL intensity of MEH-PPV more than ten fold.
