Abstract

This paper presents a new image format 12-lead electrocardiogram (ECG) display method, which displays an integral view of 12-lead cardiac signals in two images. These two ECG images represent an integral view of the horizontal and frontal planes cardiac signals. This new display method enables physicians to view the 12-lead cardiac signals by observing just two ECG images. This new display method can be used as a complementary display method for cardiac signals, in addition to the traditional 12-lead ECG, and might be further developed as a screening and diagnostic tool for certain heart diseases.
