Abstract

Drawing upon social cognitive theory, this study presents a model of entrepreneurial job pursuit intention (EJPI) by concurrently justifying problem solving efficacy as a mediator and learning goal orientation as a moderator. In the model, EJPI is influenced by relational support and environmental friendliness directly and indirectly through problem solving efficacy. Furthermore, learning goal orientation is hypothesized to moderate the effects of relational support, problem solving efficacy, and environmental friendliness on EJPI. Empirical evaluations are demonstrated based on the data of graduate students in a top tier university in Taiwan. Finally, implications about vocational learning and management education are discussed.
