Abstract

We demonstrate a proof-of-concept metalens-integrated AR waveguide for imaging and eye-tracking. The 4.5 mm metalens is stacked onto a diffractive exit-pupil-expander structure to provide aberration-free imaging. The combined system achieves a 17×16.8-degree field of view and an 11×9 mm eye box, currently limited by the waveguide's architecture and efficiency.
