abstract = "In propeller-based electrical propulsion systems, the main source of noise is from the propeller. Noise suppression can also be achieved during noise propagation in the surrounding space. In the present paper, a duct with aerodynamic geometry is fabricated using 3D printing technology, and then the aerodynamic performance of such light-weight duct is experimentally evaluated. Furthermore, by combining with micro-perforated holes on the duct wall and a compact back cavity, it acts as a light-weight duct silencer which can be used for reducing propeller noise. Several different configurations are designed and experimentally investigated for seeking the optimized design.",
