Abstract

Convenient software tool for performing the kinetic modeling in PET quantitative studies has been desired, since a number of mathematical modeling and parameter estimation methodologies emerged. In addition, the World Wide Web (WWW) has become a new computing platform for the various kinds of applications. In this work, we have developed a Web based tool for estimation of the physiological parameter, e.g., glucose metabolism, in dynamic PET studies using tracer kinetic modeling methodology. The tool was developed by use of the novel Java technology and tested in the major Web browsers. A set of patient data was used to evaluate the numerical accuracy of the present tool.
