Abstract

We demonstrate improving balance of carrier mobilities in neat-film light-emitting electrochemical cells (LECs) utilizing a cationic near-infrared laser dye as the carrier trapper. EL measurements show that the peak EQE reaches 12.75%, representing a 1.4 times enhancement in device efficiency as compared to that of the undoped neat-film LECs.
