N2 - Designs of analog precoder and digital baseband encoder for hybrid millimeter wave downlink communications are presented in the paper. The designs are based on the concept of dirty paper coding, which is known to be optimal for traditional fully digital MIMO downlink transceivers. Through simulations, the proposed designs are shown to have a significant performance improvement upon existing works.
