An image hiding scheme is proposed for hiding a secret image in a host image. The secret image is partitioned into strings of n bits each. For each string, according to the exclusive-OR result of the string and its n-bit reference string, we obtain its l1-norm (d) and mapped index (idx). Each pair (d, idx) is embedded in two pixels of the host image by using a modulus operation. Experiments show that the proposed method provides high hiding capacity and acceptable stego-image quality. Comparisons with other lossless-extraction methods are included.
