Abstract

The THz-radiation from the resonant state absorption in strained multiple quantum well (MQW) was demonstrated by applying 1-T magnetic field with different incident angles. THz radiation from bulk semi-insulating gallium arsenide was measured for the comparison. The strained MQW sample was placed in the center of the 1-T permanent magnetic field and pumped by about 100-mW average power with fs pulses. THz radiation power dependence on the excitation power was measured with different incident angles.
