Electro-optical response of nonconventional cholesteric liquid crystal with refined uniform lying helix alignment

Abstract

We demonstrate a well-aligned and stable uniform lying helix structure by adding bent-core molecules into a cholesteric liquid crystal. The frequency-dependent electro-optical response is characterized by flexoelectricity-induced dielectric relaxation.
