Abstract
In this paper, we propose an in-cell optical fingerprint sensor integrated with an OLED display, featuring a high-sensitivity sensor that was determined through systematic evaluation. Feasibility of the proposed sensor and sensing circuit was verified through optical and electrical simulation. Additionally, three different approaches to increase the contrast and dynamic range of the identification unit were proposed, including embedding a lens element, exploiting color filters, and optimizing sensor location. Finally, the paper concludes with design considerations for promoting sensing accuracy.
