Abstract

We present the design of Fourier holographic imaging system for remote projection of a small object. The system consists of a point light source, Fourier hologram and imaging lens. It can be proved that Fourier transformation of the hologram is obtained at the imagine plane of light source. We can then change the size of projected object at far distance by varying the distance between the point light source and hologram. In experiments, we have demonstrated to project 8-cm high image at 50-m away from the optical system.
